PNC-27 Overview
Mechanism of Action
PNC-27 is a synthetic peptide that binds HDM-2 (Human Double Minute 2), a protein overexpressed on the surface of many transformed cells but not normal cells. By binding surface-expressed HDM-2, PNC-27 creates membranolytic pores leading to selective cell death of abnormal cells while sparing normal cells.

How does PNC-27 selectively target abnormal cells?
Normal cells have HDM-2 inside the nucleus. Many cancer cells overexpress and mislocalize HDM-2 to the cell surface. PNC-27 binds only surface-exposed HDM-2.

PNC-27 is investigational/preclinical. It is NOT an approved cancer therapy and should only be used under qualified medical supervision.
