SNAP-8 Overview
Mechanism of Action
Snap-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) inhibits SNARE complex formation required for neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction. By reducing acetylcholine release, it attenuates muscle contraction in facial expression muscles, providing a topical ‘botox-like’ effect that reduces dynamic wrinkle depth without injectable neurotoxins.

How does Snap-8 compare to Botox?
Similar mechanism (reducing neuromuscular junction activity) but topical, milder, and requires daily use. Botox is injected, stronger, lasts 3–4 months. Snap-8 is a non-invasive alternative.
