Mechanism of Action
SLU-PP-332 is a small molecule agonist of estrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ, ERRγ). ERRs are nuclear receptors regulating mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative metabolism, and fatty acid oxidation — the same pathways activated by endurance exercise. Functions as an exercise mimetic enhancing metabolic capacity independently of physical activity.

Can SLU-PP-332 replace exercise?
Activates many exercise-activated metabolic pathways but cannot replicate all exercise benefits (cardiovascular, bone, neuroplasticity). Best as supplement to exercise.
How is it different from AICAR?
SLU-PP-332 activates ERR nuclear receptors (gene expression for mitochondrial biogenesis), AICAR activates AMPK (energy-sensing kinase). Complementary mechanisms.
